Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, Luca has risen to prominence as a defenseman donning the Portland Winterhawks jersey. His journey in hockey is defined by perseverance and an unyielding spirit, particularly after going unselected in the 2019 Western Hockey League Draft. Luca’s unwavering determination earned him a coveted spot on the Portland Winterhawks’ roster, where he quickly established himself as a standout offensive defenseman in the WHL.

In the 2022-23 season, Luca’s performance spoke volumes, boasting 17 goals and 47 assists, culminating in a remarkable 64 points across 61 games. His 17 goals, a feat achieved by only three WHL defensemen in their draft seasons over the last decade, showcased his extraordinary talent and potential.
