Luca’s unwavering determination earned him a coveted spot on the Portland Winterhawks’ roster, where he quickly established himself as a standout offensive defenseman in the WHL.

In the 2022-23 season, Luca’s performance spoke volumes, boasting 17 goals and 47 assists, culminating in a remarkable 64 points across 61 games. His 17 goals, a feat achieved by only three WHL defensemen in their draft seasons over the last decade, showcased his extraordinary talent and potential.
