Hailing from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Mitch has made his mark as a talented goaltender currently affiliated with the Washington Capitals organization.
In the 2017-18 season, Mitch showcased his exceptional skills while playing for the Lone Star Brahmas in the NAHL. He attained an impressive .935 save percentage, a feat that earned him the distinguished title of NAHL Goaltender of the Year.
Following his successful stint in the NAHL, Mitch pursued higher education at Harvard, where he continued to excel in the realm of collegiate hockey. Over three seasons, his outstanding contributions garnered him several accolades, including recognition on the ECAC All-Rookie Team, the ECAC Second Team All-Star, and a spot on the All-Ivy League First Team. Mitch’s dedication and talent played an integral role in Harvard securing an ECAC Championship in the 2021-22 season, further solidifying his reputation as a standout goaltender.
Mitch’s journey reached a pivotal moment when he was selected by the Washington Capitals in the 4th round, 124th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft. This milestone marked the beginning of his journey into the NHL. On April 2nd, 2023, he made his NHL debut, squaring off against the New York Rangers
