A native of Leamington, Ontario, Tyler is a goalie currently in the New York Rangers organization. Tyler was selected in the sixth round, 174th overall, by the New York Rangers in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Collegiately, Tyler attended the University of Massachusetts at Lowell where he appeared in 103 games and finished with a 2.28 GAA and a .918 Save Percentage.
